Sometimes you want to see what's in a file before you go to the trouble of loading the whole thing (especially if the file is large). This utility will allow you to do so. It opens with a directory box from which you may select the file at which you want to look. Upon selecting a file, JIMSAIP will show you the header in a scroll box that can be scrolled up and down or right and left.

Supported file formats are SBIG and FITS. Any other file will produce an error message and the process will abort.

To change items in a file header, you must first load the file as an image and then invoke the View Image Parameters function.
