XMS Memory Requirements
=======================
To handle the huge amounts of data associated with astronomical image
processing and to provide a reasonable amount of speed in performing the
operations, JIMSAIP relies on the use of XMS memory. XMS memory is located
above the first megabyte of RAM that DOS uses and you must have loaded an
XMS driver that supports at least v2.0. I believe this also means you must
have a 286 or better machine. I have tested JIMSAIP on 386, 486 and Pentium
machines and QEMM386 and HIMEM.SYS.
For amounts of XMS memory needed see the discussion
on Buffers.
