What to Look For in the the Astronomy Section
If you are a novice to the world of CCD imaging, you might want to follow
the illustrated online manual link at the JIMSAIP
link to learn a little about what is possible with digital images. The
manual is not intended to be a mini-course on image processing, but the
many examples and explanations may bring some concepts clear to you. Also
note that most astro images are links to exposure info. Just click on the
image to see the data and use your back button to return.
If you are experienced with the 'pretty pictures' phase of CCD imaging and
are wondering what else you could do with your camera, check out the asteroid, Variable
Nebulae, and Eclipsing Binaries links for
some ideas. I've tried to put together enough information that beginners
can get started quicker. As always, feel free to contact me at
jim@jamesroe.com.
