==================== The Spanish conquerors arrived in the state of Oaxaca shortly after they arrived in the central valley of Mexico (Mexico City). Among their traces are many magnificent churches and monasteries, many dating to the 16th century. The church and monastery at Santo Domingo Yanhuitlan is one of our favorites.
