Fiestas and Holidays in Oaxaca

==================== If there is one thing that the people of Oaxaca love, it is a fiesta! We literally cannot keep up with the fiestas. On any given day we are likely to run into one in the capital city of Oaxaca or in the little villages throughout the state. Many are religious-based, while others are rooted in the traditions and history of the many different ethnic groups that still call Oaxaca their home. Parades, dances, fireworks, bands and colorful costumes or gaily decorated icons are all featured.
